The success which Rhine Ruhr has achieved in winning export business for services and equipment supplied to the chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas and oil refining industries around the globe, has been acknowledged in the prestigious 2008 Governor of Victoria Export Awards.

Rhine Ruhr was successful in winning the Small to Medium Services Award and, with this accolade, now qualifies for the Austrade sponsored Australian Export Awards to be announced later in the year.


Over the last twenty years Rhine Ruhr from its Melbourne engineering facilities has established a trusted and recognised name for the design, engineering and manufacture of world-class process vessel internals.

With a team of experienced process engineers supported by state of the art process simulation and equipment design software, Rhine Ruhr is able to create optimum design solutions and specifications.

To enable rapid response for equipment supply, the mechanical design software output is integrated with computer controlled manufacturing

processes to create cost effective and accurately finished products.

Rhine Ruhr’s Sales and Marketing manager Stephen Shields explains that in the last two years Rhine Ruhr has earned more than half of its annual revenue from exports.

To continue with our growth strategy we have also recently appointed new distributors to gain exposure in previously unrepresented international markets identified as having growth potential.


The Governor of Victoria Export Awards presentation took place at Government House, Melbourne before an audience of 600 members of the business, government and export sectors.

Rhine Ruhr Managing Director Jim Tyzzer accepted the Award from the Governor of Victoria Professor David de Kretser AC.
